It is your job as a teenager to disagree with your parents. These are the years you develop better problem-solving skills and make more responsible choices. It is a time you are examining different values and beliefs and engaging in more self-discovery than at any other time in your life. Unfortunately...and almost inevitably...these changes negatively affect your relationship with your parents. See how much you know about how to keep the lines of communication open.

@proud USMC sister if u're really that shy, you can buy it urself if u live walking distance to a store. that's what i do, but its not the best option because u spend ur own money, and u'd have to "hide" it when u bring it home. so i guess the best thing is to tell her. but first, if possible, check if she buys tampons. if she does, at least u'll know that she thinks it's ok for HER, and then u just have to muster up some courage and ask her casually. And/Or u can pretend that u dont know what a tampon is and ask her, so u get her opinion on it, and then depending on what she says u can ask her if u can buy it. yea these things are always really embarrassing. u just have to prepare urself, maybe practice, and get it over with :)
