We answer: When you do it right, it really shouldn’t. Remember, inserting tampons takes a little practice – but Tampax Pearl’s smooth applicator is designed for your comfort. Get tips here on how to insert a tampon (it’s easy!).
We answer: Nope! If it feels hard to pull out, relax a little. The tampon probably hasn’t absorbed enough fluid yet. Tampax tampons come in different absorbencies, and you should always use the one with the lowest absorbency for your flow. Check them all out here.
We answer: There’s a small risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome (TSS), a serious disease,
associated with tampon use. But you can help reduce the risk and here’s how: 1) use a
tampon with the least amount of absorbency needed to control your flow, 2) alternate your
tampon use with pads. Learn more about TSS here.
We answer:There's no place for it to go! The tampon goes into the vagina. Near the top of the vagina is the cervix, and that opening is as tiny as a pencil point. So it’s MUCH too small to fit a tampon.
