The HERO Youth Ambassador Program is a campaign of the United Nations Association of the USA (UNA-USA for short), in partnership with the U.S. Agency for International Development. It is part of the UNA-USA HERO Program to build awareness, raise funds and provide comprehensive, school-based support to orphans and vulnerable children living in HIV/AIDS-affected African communities.
The UNA-USA is based in New York City. It's a center for innovative programs to engage Americans in issues of global concern, from education and HIV/AIDS to peace, security and international law. Its educational and humanitarian campaigns help people make a global impact on a local level. Programs include:
- HERO
- Adopt-a-Minefield
- Model UN
As a not-for-profit organization, UNA-USA encourages United States leadership in the United Nations and is a part of the World Federation of United Nations Associations. To learn more, click on the link at the bottom of this page.
