I was just wondering: I have itching on my private parts. I already had sex with my boyfriend, but he doesn't have any kind of disease. I'm not sure what it is and I'm worried.

Dear Hailey,

First of all, you really don't know if your partner is free of infection. Sometimes males may have a sexually-transmitted infection with NO symptoms. I would definitely not rule out a STD.

But there are many reasons why you may have a vaginal itch. You may have a yeast infection or another type of vaginal infection, you may be having a reaction to a new detergent your mom uses to wash your clothes, or sometimes an itch is just an itch.

If you have tried some of the over-the-counter vaginal itch medications, and you do not get relief, I suggest you let your mom know about this and ask your health care professional about it.

I think its the hair.. cuz you know most of our moms dont let us shave down there sometimes because of this age so yeah idk..

i itch so much down ther,but i got the perfect solution:go to the washroom and wet a wad of tissue then pat where it itches and around the area then put some lotion or cream in the area.....TA DA,your itch free for a while.

Peacelovesports<3 : I went through the same thing when i was about 8, and i was very nervous. When i did say something, my mom was verrrrry understanding. Make sure you realize that they were young girls, too. They may've been through the same!!!! Hope this helps you some:)
