Vaginal Discharge—Why Do I Have Discharge?

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I have a lot of clear discharge every day. I mean a lot! I think that I'm getting my period in about one week, but this discharge is overwhelming. I'm going to the bathroom every 10 minutes during class so it won't leak. What's up with me? Help!

Dear Julie,

It's not that unusual to have a lot of vaginal discharge during your menstrual cycle. Try wearing a pad or pantiliner daily. Always pads & pantiliners are designed to pull the wetness away from your body.

waltz, I'm pretty sure thats normal. periods are irregular the first year. (: and you can have discharge for a longgg time after you get your first period. good luck! I got brown discharge today.

Is it bad that I had discharge for like 2 years then I get my first period then it skips, and then I have another month of discharge then I get my period? Please answer!

Discharge is normal. You just have to learn how to handle it. Playing sports should lessen your amount of discharge. :)

I seriously hate discharge. Like idk why we have to have it even though its for "cleansing" we alreaaadyy have periods-__- #FemaleProbs whoohoo

It's more than just cleaning out. Sometimes It's even a clue as to when you're ovulating.

Sometimes I have discharge, but then for like a full week, I have none...Is that normal? Do you have discharge EVERY day or only sometimes? Just wanna make sure... :-)
