When Does Your Period Stop?

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

When you remove a tampon and there is nothing on it, can you assume that your period has ended? Or is it just at a stopping point?

Natalie

---

Dear Natalie,

Every girl is different. I suggest you wait 24 hours without a menstrual flow before you assume your period has ended, but switch to a pantiliner for menstrual protection. Wearing the pantiliner for the next few days in case it starts back up which does happen.

Good luck,
