What is "PMS" and who gets it?

Premenstrual Syndrome (PMS)—"Premenstrual" means before your period; syndrome is another word for a condition or group of symptoms. PMS is a condition some women get in the week before their periods. It usually affects women in their 20s to 40s.

If you suffer from cramps, backaches, bloating, mood swings or mild depression before your period, you may be experiencing PMS.

PMS is premenstrusal Syndrome. That just means that your menstrusal cycle, ( your period) is just about to start. It usually just involves getting cramps, and sometimes headaches or cravings. It's when your hormones are a little out of balance, too. Hope this helps. :)

@katyperryfan- you may just be moody and it have nothing to do with getting your period. Sometimes girls are just moody for no reason.

Im nowhere near 20s to 40s and I have PMS also I havent even started my period and i've has PMS for months any help?

I get pretty moderate PMS... I get a bit edgier, and I get cramps, sometimes I feel bloated.

I don't get why it says 20s to 40s cus I heard that 10 year olds get it! And on the registration thing it says that you pick male or female, if this is menstral stuff and body stuff Im curious to as why that is a choice......

I get plenty of mood swings and i get bloted I hate when that happens i just wish it would go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't always get pms but when I do I get the worst cramps ever!!!! And I get sad really easily. For my cramps I do a little yoga and take a hot bath/ shower. Also, ask you parents before taking it, but magnesium pills help with cramps (bananas too but I really don't like them).
