Dear BeingGirl Experts,

Sometimes my periods are really light and other times they are heavy. Recently there was hardly any bleeding. Could this mean I am pregnant?

I don't know. Could you be pregnant? Have you had sexual intercourse without using a reliable type of contraception? Try taking an over-the-counter pregnancy test. If it is positive, you'll need to see a gynecologist ASAP. If it is negative and your periods continue to be scant, you may want to discuss this with the doctor too.

When you go, make sure s/he knows that you are having sex and get a reliable contraceptive technique.
