Wearing A Pad: Choosing The Right One

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I use pads for my period, and I don't know if they need to be a little bit longer because sometimes the blood slides down to my butt and goes way farther than the pad is and gets on my underwear. The pad isn't tiny. I thought it was perfect, but maybe it needs to be a bit longer. How would I know what size to get and to look for, and am I even putting my pad on right!?

Carly

Dear Carly,

There are different absorbencies and different configurations available in the Always pads, and you may need to continue using different styles until you find one that is best for you. Try shifting the position of the pad in your panties to match where you perceive the flow to be going and make sure your pad is attached securely. Also, you may have to change your pad more often if it seems to be "filled." Pads should be changed every 4–6 hours. Experiment a bit, and you'll find a solution.

Good luck,

Your BeingGirl Experts

I've had it for a while, and it gets kinda annoying having it mess up my "fun-to-wear" underwear. Sorry girls, tmi. I know.

Yh that's one of the reasons I use tampons, they don't do that. :)

I have a question, for any girl 2 answer, is it normal to itch on my period so much? Or is it the pad?
