Questions About How You Should Wash Your Vagina

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

Am I supposed to wash my vulva regularly? If so, how often and with what kind of soap, etc.?

Thanks,

Mary

---

Dear Mary,

Yes, you should wash the vulva (the female external genitals) daily along with the rest of your body. Antibacterial soap and water are recommended for this area of your body. If you use menstrual pads, you can use an Always Wipe or baby wipe to cleanse this area when changing pads to feel fresh and eliminate any odor from your period.

Hope this is helpful,
