I live in Florida and my friend and I go to the beach everyday. But when she's on her period, her tampon string hangs out of her bathing suit. What should I say, because she is very emotional, and I don't want to add any upset!

You can tell her that you just learned the neatest trick: after you insert your tampon, pull the string to the front of your body (vulva area) so it is always there and easy to find when you remove your tampon. This will also remedy the situation of it showing when she is wearing her bathing suit.
