BeingGirl Points - Major Bragging Rights
Back to My Body & Wellness Questions
Dear BeingGirl Experts,
I have red lines on my breasts that look like veins popping out all over them. Is that normal and what is going on?
The good news is, you are not the only girl who is experiencing stretch marks. During puberty, many girls get them on their breasts, on their hips and thighs and even on their buttocks. The marks are the result of you growing so fast your skin can't keep up with the changes. Your skin stretches to accommodate the increase in size. The bad news is that there really isn't anything you can do to make the stretch marks go away. What will happen over time, is they will begin to fade and eventually you will hardly see them. No creams, etc., can make them go away! If the lines show through your clothing, you can try body make-up and try to camouflage them.
Hope this is helpful,
