Dear BeingGirl Experts,

BeingGirl Experts, my friend is 11, and she has these signs of her period. They are: some (or little) pubic hair, little hair on her armpits, she has to shave her legs, she has buds, and discharge. Do you know how long it'll be 'til she gets her period?

Dear Katie,

Your friend is definitely going through puberty! When her period will arrive is still a guess. Breast development, hair under the arms and in the pubic area, a growth spurt and a white/clear vaginal discharge are all signs that one's body is maturing. She is definitely headed in the right direction; she should just hang in there.

@hoghunter334, You don't really need to do anything. Just hang in there and don't think about it to much. Don't get stressed out about it. It seems if you get stressed by it, it'll come later. But that's my opinion. Maybe talk to your mom or dad about it?

I am definitely getting mine soon because I have hair under my arm pits and "down there" & discharge for almost 2 years now. I am in about the 2nd or 3rd stage of breast development & I shave my legs. Recently I started getting stomach cramps too & having to go to the bathroom more often. I just feel really anxious about it though because Ive been waiting for it to come with all these signs & stuff but it still hasnt come which is really annoying!!
