Bra or bare? Why do women wear bras? Should I wear a bra?

Whether to wear a bra or not, at any stage of development or at any age, is a personal decision. If you're starting to develop breasts and you want to wear a bra, you may want to talk to your mom or an older female relative or friend about possibly getting one.

Some girls like to get training bras as soon as they start developing breasts so they can get used to what it feels like to wear a bra. A training bra can also help cover up your nipples, which may stick out and become more noticeable as your breasts begin to grow.

Depending on how big your breasts are, you might want to get a sports bra too, for gym class and any team sport (except swimming).

Just like breasts, bras come in all different shapes and sizes, and different bras can make your breasts look bigger or smaller. It all depends on what you want.

Heyy girlss!! So today I just got my first bra at VS with my bff and mom :) It was great, and I was fitted for a 32A!! My friend being there made it a lot less awkward, but only because she's like family!! tips for wondering how to ask your mom for a bra: Text her if possible instead of asking face to face Say "Hey mom can we get a bra this weekend?" while at the mall, casually ask if you can get a bra as you walk by. I was holding back asking for a LONG time, but I'm so happy I did!! Good Luck!!!!

I still don't wear a bra yet, but I want to..I'm just too afraid to ask my mom! All the girls in my class wear bras, except me. ;( I just want one because my boobs are growing and they're getting bigger so they look weird under clothing and they always jiggle when I run. It's embarrassing! Lol. xD

To all the girls worrying about getting a bra or asking for one, heres some advice; now today my mom got me a 34A bra paded and a strapless one with pads. i tried them on an they were not half bad! So, if your mom thinks your to young, then ask for a tank top as a started. Tank tops have a bra with them and its really comfty. 2. if your out shopping with your mom and your ready, ask " hey mom, i think i wanna start wearing a bra". If she refuses, pull her aside an say " mom u have to realize that im growing up and im gonna have to use them sooner or later"! that usally gets them. 3. borrow a friends, my friend Lilly, i called an asked if i could borrow a bra, she said sure. Of course, i chickened out but we kept it secret. A friend is really useful because your close and it isnt really akward. Or, borrow your sister's old one or a cousins. Im sure i'll think of some more and as soon as i do, i'll post them, until then, CYA!! remember to be cool and dont stress.

I just got my first bra today. I was kind of forced becasue my mom said I cant go to any public places if I don't. My mom has been saying, "Put on the bra, you're 13 you need it", so I am currently wearing now.
