Should I Use A Scented Tampon?

I heard that it's bad to use scented tampons. Is this true???

Dear Kara,

Although there's much less menstrual odor when you use a tampon, there are women who prefer a scented tampon. The tampon collects the menstrual fluid in the vagina, and it is not exposed to air; therefore, little or no odor results. But, it is really a matter of personal choice.

When your in sports or dance like me its more comfortable in my opinion to wear tampons because they are more loose feeling. I think you can start wearing tampons at any times because I started wearing them on my first period:).

im might try tampons my next period. it will only be my 3rd time tho... should i wait and still use a pad or should i use a tampon. im in sports...

I've had my period for 9 years, and have been using tampons for 2 and half years. I've accidentally picked up scented tampons multiple times, then picked up them intentionally several times after that. I seem to alternate between unscented and scented depending how I feel that day. I've never experienced any kind of infection or any problems with scented tampons, just a pleasant scent when I take a new tampon out of the box :)
