Back to My Period Questions
Dear BeingGirl Experts,
I am 13 and I have had my period for about four months, and am a pad user. I have tried to use tampons on two occasions and have no problem when it comes to insertion, but can't get them out! What's wrong w/me? All my other friends use them, and I can't get them out! Please give me some tips. Thanks a lot!
If you are having problems removing your tampon, make sure you use the lowest absorbency tampon for your flow, leave the tampon in from 4–8 hours and be sure you pull the tampon out at the same angle that you used to insert it. Also, if you tug on the string and the tampon doesn't start to pull out, you may need to leave it in a little longer, but not longer than 8 hours.
