Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I am a 17-year-old guy writing to you because I didn't know who else to ask. My question is whether or not my girlfriend can get pregnant without us actually having sex. Sometimes when we hook up, I have an orgasm near (but not inside of) her vagina. Is it possible for the sperm to swim up into her vagina and get her pregnant?

Dear Concerned Boyfriend,

Because sperm have the ability to move on their own, it is possible for sperm (in semen) to find their way into your girlfriend's vagina and then up the Fallopian tubes to the waiting egg. This is pretty rare, but it could happen. Since you are sexually active, don't take chances. Practice safer sex by always using a condom even if your partner is on the pill or using another form of birth control. Abstaining and not having sex is the best plan.

can your period come really late and your breast really sore from pregnacy I get really wierd food cravings and i drink a LOT of water... more than i used to. I was wondering if i could be pregnant

I think he is very responsible coming to this site for help. He also must be very mature and truly concerned about his girlfriend and her health for asking. Being close minded and bashing him for being a boy with questions about sex is wrong. I hope he is proud of himself. :)
