Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I want to make a period kit so I will be ready when I start and am not a home. Can you tell me what I should have in it?

Thanks, Annika

Dear Annika,

Preparing for the unexpected is a good idea when you first start having periods. Most teen girls find theirs are often not predictable. Here is what we suggest you have read for those unexpected periods:

  • A cute cosmetic or other zippered bag. Make sure it will fit your locker, backpack, or purse.
  • A few pads/tampons depending on the product you use.
  • An extra pair of panties in case you start unexpectedly.
  • A baggie you can seal in case you need the extra panties. (This way you will have a place for the soiled pair.)
  • A few feminine wipes. Always Wipes are individually wrapped and will make you feel like you just showered.

Hope this is helpful,

Your BeingGirl Experts

In it i have 3 regular tampons, 3 regular pads with wings, a mini deodorant, travel size perfume, Concealer by Mac, EOS hand lotion and Baby Lips, Travel Mascara, Lip gloss, Hand Sanitizer, Hand Lotion, Toothbrush Thingy, Brown Eyeliner, Lighter, Powder Brush, Pens, Ibuprophen, Compact Mirror, Quarters, Hair Tie, Bobby Pins, and a spare phone charger. i know its a lot of stuff, but i am always out, so i overpack for anything that could happen, Hope these ideas helped(:

I'm home schooled, so I only need a kit if I go somewhere. Here it is: 2 pads, 1 tampon, some tissue paper (just in case), wipes, hair items, and a stick of deodorant. Plus some EOS lip balm.

my period kit has: 2 always infinity pads, 2 always ultra thin pads, 4 always panty liners, 2 tampax pearl tampons, some always wipes, hand sanitizer, a pair of extra underwear, a plastic bag, gum, candy, bobby pins, and hair ties. i know it's a lot of stuff but it's better to be over prepared than under prepared.
