Dear BeingGirl Experts,

One of my friends asked the teacher if she could go to the bathroom, and the teacher said no, and then she told him it was a girl thing, but the teacher still didn't let her go to the bathroom!! Why? What can we do to get them to let us go to the bathroom??

P.S: The teacher was a male if that helps.

P.S.S: We also have this school rule that we can't go out of the class room during class but still!!!!

Thanks, bye

Claire

Dear Claire,

If the school rule says that you can't leave the room, then you have to make a stop at the bathroom during the times that you can, whether you think you need to at that time or not. In most situations in life, you have to plan to live by the rules. If you think that this rule needs exceptions, then you would have to talk with the principal to find out if the rule can be changed to give the teachers more leeway in allowing an exit from the classroom.

Hope this is helpful,

Your BeingGirl Experts

To any of these girls out there that scroll through all these comments like I do, NEVER EVER use tampons WHEN YOU ARE NOT ON UR PERIOD, because it can cause a stronger risk of TSS which can cause DEATH!!!!!!! You don't want that do you. Referring to @7beachbum23

In my school, we have bathroom passes stapled to our agendas so whenever we need to go the teacher signs the bathroom pass (There's ten bathroom passes a quarter) The only time we can go without having the teacher sign it is during lunch, locker breaks, or impacts!

I have never ever heard that from any schools I've been to, I and my family moved around a lot so I've been to a lot of different school. Sorry but that is the strangest thing that I think I have heard. I do not know what school or what type of school you attend or your age and that is ok to not know. We as students at a school have a little bit of freedom and when you are in class, you do not have to ask the teacher if you can get up and leave to go to bathroom and also the other reason you would have to get up and leave is because, you are waiting for a very important call on your cell phone. If there are any situations like this again at your school, sometimes it is best to maybe talk to a counselor, principal, vice principal or someone in the area that is called Human Resources. When were girls and have some personal business to take care of, I think that we should be totally able and allowed to do so.

The third month after I got my period (still unexperienced) I was at school and feeling a little wet down there. I didn't worry though because I had a tampon in. Seventh period came and I went to the bathroom and there was a HUGE red stain on my khaki pants. I didn't know what to do. I almost cried it was so embarrassing. Luckily my mom is a teacher. I asked if I could go up to her room. But she was out on lunch break!!!! So I went to the nurse and I got a pair of pants that fit me and a pad. I still felt like crying though. Everyone asked me where I went seventh period...guessing no one saw. I have many many good friends though so I'm sure no one would have judged me too bad

I have my period and at my schools there are no purses. Some tricks i use is putting a pad in my pants near my hip not all the way down then pull ur shirt out. U can put a tampon in ur sleeve then scrunch it up. You can put a tampon or pad in your sock or bra. To throw them away roll it or put it in the new rapper. Place it in ur pants like u did on ur way in. While u go near the trash act like ur scratchin ur hip then really slick throw it away. Hoped this helped.
