Casey --- Dear Casey, The best advice is to pay attention to your body so this won’t happen. Use pantiliners if you expect your period. Using the right absorbency pad or tampon for your flow and remembering to change your menstrual protection often enough will help prevent accidents. It's a good idea to have extra pads or tampons and a pair of panties in your locker or backpack. If you are really paranoid about having an accident you can keep a pair of jeans in your locker too. As a teen having unpredictable periods isn’t uncommon. If don’t have 100% certain predictability with your period it is important to know the clues your body sends. Some females get cramping, some see skin blemishes, while others may get sore or tender breasts.
