Pads Vs. Tampons

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

What's best for me to be using, pads or tampons?

Elle

---

Dear Elle,

This is definitely a personal decision. The Always Ultra thin pads and Always Infinity pads [link to beinggirl > products > always > always ultra thin page] are so discrete and comfortable, you may want to try them. Tampax [link to BeingGirl Tampax page] tampons give you the freedom and discretion to do whatever you'd like while you are menstruating, including swimming. So you need to analyze your lifestyle and come up with the type of product that will be best for you. You may decide on different products for different days of your period. For more information on menstrual protection, go here [link to ART559].

Good luck,

I prefer to wear tampons because they are comfortable and easy to dance in. I do wear pads but only to sleep because I sleep for more than eight hours. If any of you guys have any questions just ask me.:D

I like pads, but hate changing them at school. Well, I like pads better than tampons. I think it's a chore to use tampons. I just thought of this: wouldn't it stink to get your first period on the first day of school.??

I personally prefer tampons, but my mom thinks they give you cancer, so I am only alowed to use them once a day. You should not sleep with tampons in, even though they are more comfortable, as you can get TSS if they are in for more then 8 hrs

PuppyLovesForever, a tampon does not hurt. A lot of people say they hurt just because they put it in wrong. When you have a tampon in for the first time your gonna feel it in there but it won't hurt. Once you are use to tampons you won't feel a thing! It keeps you dry and you forget your on your period. Don't listen to the people who say it hurts. Trust me it doesn't.
