Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I'm nervous for high school. I've been home schooled since sixth grade, and I'm entering ninth grade. I don't know why I'm scared, but I am. What can I do to not be so scared?

Dear Chelsea,

Most girls, no matter where they've attended school, feel very nervous about starting high school. Just imagine how different the classes will be for them, too. Looking towards high school as an adventure you will enjoy is the best attitude to have. Be open to meeting new people and joining in new activities. This is how you get to know new people and feel comfortable as a high school student. With a positive attitude this will work out, honestly!

I'm gonna be a freshman in about a month lol i'm almost done with 8th grade and im so scared about high school we only have four minutes to get from class to class and our hish school is really big i just dont want to be late :/ im really nervous/scared/excited im taking spanish and voice class/chorus lol cant wait :)))) i just at least hope my friends are in my lunch period :))))))

I'm so nervous and excited to go to high school next year! I got into a magnet program at my HS and so did over 20 of my classmates (there's only 55 total spots for the entire county). So I know I'll have some old friends unlike when I knew pretty much no one in 6th grade.

I am super nervous for high school because I am trying out for the IB Program! The program is already super hard and nervewracking, then put that on top of regular high school, and add the fact that I get kicked out I have to leave the school and go to my districted high school! And the one in my district is terrible!I don't even know if I made the IB program or not, I know on February 15, so keep your fingers crossed for me guys!

I am nervous/excited for high school because most of my chicas (friends, Ha ha) are going to the same high school. The school boundaries are crazy, so in sixth grade, I knew NO ONE, but did make friends. Now, I have old and new friends - YES! But still, I am really getting scared because I am a worry-wart over my appearance. I hardly ever look myself in the mirror publicly for fear that I look ugly. Am I pretty? IDK. Do and will friends like me? IDK. Soooo confused about life. Are periods painful at school?... had "the first" on the 7th this month at home. Will kids still tease me over being nice/skinny? IDK!!! UG! HELP!

I am in the 8th grade and I am kinda nervous about high school. I am also kinda relieved that most of my friends are going to the same school that I am going to, but I am scared of all the olders kids and what could happen to me.

Everybody's nervous about there first day at high school , but I'm on my third year at mine and it's amazing ! Nothing to worry about , you make friends so quickly and because your all in the same boat everybody looks out for eachother , and teachers always go easy on The new people(; good luck all of you.x

im in 7th grade and ive heard a lot of rumors and it kind of makes me nervous like how will i know what class to go to? and will i find friends? those are my biggest worries or will i get bullied?i think if i have old friends at the school i will have no problems :( :)
