Light Periods: Which Absorbency Should I Use? Dear BeingGirl Experts, I have been using tampons for a few months now, for my period, and I use the lowest absorbency tampons. I wear them for 8 hours, and when I remove them there is still a lot of white showing, and some blood, and "stuff." Is this bad? Can I still use tampons? I already know ALL about how to insert, remove, leave in for 4 –8 hours, lowest absorbency, and I need to know something that will help me to know what is going on!!! Very worried, Stella --- Dear Stella, Having light flow is not unusual. If you are using the lite absorbency tampon and have “a lot” of white showing at the end of 8 hours it sounds like your flow is to light for a tampon and a pantiliner may be enough protection for you. If you are currently using a regular absorbency tampon change to a light absorbency. Girls love the Tampax Pearl Lite Absorbency Tampon! Hope this helps, Your BeingGirl Experts Find out more about light periods and get answers to your questions at BeingGirl.com.
