How To Get Ready 24 Hours Before Your School Dance
You’ve found the perfect dress, ordered your date’s boutonniere, made your hair
appointment for a stylish updo and made plans to go to your BFF’s house before the
dance to get ready. So what’s next?
While you have checked off everything on your dance checklist to prep for the big
night, there’s a lot you can do in the 24 hours before the actual dance to make
all your plans go off without a hitch. Take a look at our tips to help make this
a stress-free, fun and exciting night you won’t forget!
Get Lots of Sleep
They call it beauty sleep for a reason. Getting a good night’s sleep before any
big event will give you the energy you need to dance the night away with all your
friends. Not to mention it will give you that “well-rested,” fresh look that no
amount of makeup can give you.
Eat a Good Breakfast
Starting your morning off right with a healthy breakfast is always a good idea.
But it’s an especially good idea to do this the morning before a big school dance.
You have a long day ahead of you and this breakfast will give you the energy you
need to start the day on the right foot.
Be On-time for Your Appointments
You’re not the only one who has a lot of things to do before school dances. Your local salon
or hairdresser undoubtedly is working with other clients, too. You can’t plan for
everything, of course, but try your best to make it to all your appointments with
some time to spare so you don’t feel rushed with anything. If you’re early and your
stylist has time to spare, you can even talk through some of your ideas for hairdos.
Don’t forget to tip too!
Confirm Your Plans and Check Your Tickets
Nothing could be worse than going through all of your planning only to have something
fall through. Double (or triple check, if you’re still worried) your reservations
with the driver, dinner, photographer and anything else. Last, and certainly not
least, make sure you or your date has the tickets to get in to your dance!
Your school dance is meant to be a time you spend celebrating with your friends,
dancing and being your best. This proper planning will help you be confident and
feel your best! Follow our advice for your school dance and have a fun and memorable
time.
