How Can I Get Rid Of Stretch Marks?

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I have stretch marks on my breast, but I wear a bra all the time. What causes these stretch marks? And how can I get rid of them?

Thank you,

Dear Joy,

You are not the only girl experiencing stretch marks. During puberty, many girls get them on their breasts, on their hips and thighs, and even on their buttocks. The marks appear because you are growing so fast that your skin cannot keep up with the changes in your body, and skin has to stretch to accommodate the increase in size. The bad news is that there really isn't anything you can do to make them go away. What will happen over time is that they will begin to fade and eventually you will hardly see them. There are creams and products saying they can prevent or repair stretch marks; I do not know of any that work for sure.

Hope this is helpful,
