Okay, so you're smart. Does that make you cool and smart??  If you're super smart, maybe some classmates think you're a nerd, a brown-noser—even a snob. Or maybe you feel alone—alienated because you're smarter than most other people your age.

We're sure you know that being smart is a good thing; otherwise, we'd worry that you're not so smart after all! Your intelligence will help you get into a great college, which will help when you're ready to start your career.  But that's then, let's look at here and now. If being smart is making you feel isolated within your school or social group, you have to wise up and take some actions.

Birds of a feather...
Join groups. Are you interested in language? Technology? The environment? Get involved with the groups at your school, or find community groups where you can develop these interests and expand your mind with people who are cool and smart too. If you have an exceptionally high IQ, you may be able to join a local chapter of MENSA, an organization for brainiacs with high IQs.

Be cool and smart. If you've got it, you don't have to flaunt it. But don't hide it or run from it. Use it to enrich your life and relationships.
