Dear Mona,

Yes, blood is part of the fluid leaving your body during your period. The amount of blood in the menstrual fluid varies from woman to woman, and from day to day during the period. A period usually ends quite lightly, with most menstrual fluid lost in the first few days. Even then, the period or menstrual fluid doesn't come out very quickly. You lose about six to nine tablespoons of menstrual fluid during your period, but only about three tablespoons of it is blood. There is not as much as you might think. Your body contains more than five pints of blood, so it doesn't miss the little you lose during a period and quickly makes up for it.

Mine lasts for about four days (Pattern: heavy heavy heavy light.) -.- i get ridiculous mood swings around that time.

i think my perioid alternates... first waz light, second waz light for the first day, heavy for the second and third day, third waz light again, and fourth waz the same as the second. i wonder what fifth will be like :/
