Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I am 13 years old and I have not yet gotten my period. I am scared for it to come on; meanwhile, I really want it to come on. Can you give me some advice. I have had my discharge for almost a year.

I'm in 8th grade and most my friends have actually not started there periods. I'm actually one of the smallest compared to my friends but i think i might start my period this week because i have been having really bad back cramps:( any questions? i will answer:D

@Poke4Ever Your body is most likely producing discharge while you sleep. Is it a clear or whitish substance? If so that is discharge and is a perfectly normal stage of development! Hope this helped!

@SaxGirl You are lucky! Don't worry the whole "having it the same age as your mom" thing is just an estimate. It doesn't necessarily mean the same age. I had mine a little earlier than my mom (when I was 11 years and 28 days, lol). Your are totally normal! Do not stress or that will delay it. Hope this helped! Anymore Q's please ask ladies!

@HorsesandDonuts Don't worry I promise it will come! You do sound really close to your period though. For some girls it takes 3 or 4 years of discharge before their first period but that doesn't mean it will for you. Even if your mom got it when she was 13 it doesn't mean you will that is just an estimate. You could get yours when you are 14. But I would say the in the next couple of months or so. Do you have any signs of PMS (fatigue, bloating, acne, moodiness, etc.,)? Don't stress over your first period because when you do get it there will be plenty more where that come from! Ask away girlies!

I KNOW!!!! My best friends have theirs and I don't. I have pubic hair, armpit hair(I have to shave it) and I've had breasts for 3 years, and Discharge for 1 or 2 years! I'm starting to flip out. I want it SO bad. I'm 12. My mom got it when she was 13. BTW! It's TONS of pubic hair. It should've come by now!!!
