Advice On Long Distance Relationships

Dear BeingGirl Experts,

I am 16 and a sophomore in high school. This year I have had the pleasure of meeting a foreign exchange student from Germany. We've become really close and feel deeply about each other. But I don't know what to do. Should we try a long distance relationship, or just cut things off? We really care about each other, but when he goes home, there's going to be a whole ocean of space between us, literally!

How lucky you are to know someone, as a friend, from another country and another culture. However, you really can't maintain a "romantic" relationship. This isn't fair to anyone with this kind of distance.
